Boards Alive is a podcast where we talk about tabletop games. Our goal is to show that tabletop gaming can be just as exciting and engaging as Hollywood movies or big budget video games. We try to highlight games that have a rich theme that connects with the mechanics of the game. We want to help people escape into tabletop games and enjoy the competition and camaraderie of gaming.
Who are these guys?
Aaron – I am a teacher-librarian who spends way too much time thinking about tabletop gaming. I’ve been trying to use board games in my library more and more, because who doesn’t want to play board games while doing their job, right? I have been producing the Boards Alive podcast for the last 3 1/2 years and I still love doing it after all this time. I also listen to way too many gaming podcasts and know more than I should about all the hot new games. I love to play RPGs as well, both GMing and playing as a character, and I am always looking for a way to make my RPG experience more immersive.
Quinten – I’m an elementary teacher who, while trying to teach kids the basics, is also trying to show them the essentials of gaming and having fun. I’m half of the Boards Alive Podcast where I pretend to know what I’m talking about. I always love playing board games and tabletop rpgs and try to immerse myself in them whenever possible. Even when I’m not playing games I’m at least listening to more podcasts than I can keep up with. I hope to be involved in the hobby for as long as the hobby will let me, which hopefully will be forever!
