I really wanted to listen to this as I’m interested in both Sentinels and RPGs and always interested in learning through new opinions but I can’t, the volume is far too low and it’s only coming through one of my two headphones, no matter which set I try. It seems such a petty thing but when it takes that much effort to hear and it’s an audio medium… it’s just not worth it. Sorry.
Thanks for the comment. We did find out that the audio is only coming through 1 side and we are going to fix that for the next episode. We are also going to boost the volume so that it comes through stronger. Hopefully you can check back next time.
I just did a check, and the volume level is strongest when you use the direct download and play it in the window. I know that doesn’t help those that want to listen to the podcast on their devices or away from the computer. Just thought I would let everyone know.
This episode has now be re-released in a remastered version with sound from both audio channels & a boosted sound for easier listening. Enjoy!
Hey guys,
I just found your podcast and started here with episode 1 to see how you started. I’m enjoying it so far, and plan on catching up as much as I can.
One thing that stood out to me, however, was a rule that you had wrong in the Pathfinder Adventure Care Game. I’m not sure if anyone’s told you this already or if you figured it out yourself, but you never discard more cards than are in your hand when you take damage. I don’t know where you got the idea that you discarded cards from the top of your deck, but it says pretty clearly (on page 12 of the revised rulebook) that, “If you don’t have enough cards in your hand, discard your entire hand and ignore the rest of the damage.” Discarding from your deck would usually make even one loss to a big baddie a death sentence.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks Chris. We actually talk about this in episode 2 because Rodney, from Watch It Played, and a few more keen listeners like yourself, let us know that we suck at reading rules. I blame Quinten, haha.
Thanks for the kind words as well and for finding our show.
That’s cool. I assumed that you had probably figured it out by now, but just in case, I thought I’d mention it. I’ve played the Pathfinder card game almost 70 times now, mostly solo, and I’ve had a ton of fun with it.
Yeah we love it too. We are in the middle of the last adventure pack, which means there may be a full review of it coming up soon.
