Wow!!! I’m so stoked that ya’ll enjoyed my Spirit Island scene.
I’ve always wanted to learn RPGs, but I’ve never been able to actually play until this past Labor Day (combo of not enough free time and my circle of friends don’t want to play them). So, getting my toes wet a couple weeks ago inspired me to try creating a scenario DM style.
I was quite nervous writing this (silly I know, ’cause who really cares if it sucks) because my wife and friends always roll their eyes when I try to add a little flare/story to the games we play, so I always assumed I wasn’t very good or just plainly corny.
Bummed that I didn’t get to win the game, but this was a good consultation prize. I appreciate that ya’ll picked out my little nuances too (like the multi-national explorers and and their derogatory view of the Dahan). Spirit Island is definitely high on my wish list, so if I don’t get it for Xmas then I’ll be getting a copy.
Thanks for the podcasts. It makes my daily commutes quite enjoyable.
