Hi, I loved the review of 18chesapeake, it sounds like Michelle ‘accidently’ struck upon a major strategy of 18xx – that is say, float shares in a major company, use it to buy in the small private companies you personally own, buy lots of trains, leave the major company with no money for upgraded future trains – and then dump it on another player who foolishly trusted you and invested in the company too – it’s so satisfying when pull off that move 🙂 Two short notes: in 18Chesapeake, to “dump” a company on someone, you can sell down to a single 10% share or no shares – as long as another player has 2 10% shares; also, the online website is 18xx.games .
